Day 18: Be Thankful for Closed Doors

“When one door closes, another one opens. But sometimes we stare so hard at the closed door that we don’t see the opportunity in front of us.” ~Everyone

So let’s get real. You may find that when you start to demand the respect that’s associated with your value, some people may leave out of your life. And like I stated in one of the previous posts, if a person leaves you for something as wanting to be valued then that person wasn’t meant for you anyway.

So stop looking so long at the closed door that you don’t see the bright future of endless opportunities ahead. One of my favorite stories in the bible is about Lot’s wife. I’ll give you my quick #TylerPerry #Madea version of events – Jesus said leave, chick-a-dee said cool but then started having second thoughts and stuff so she started missing all that she was about to leave behind. She turned around to look at the closed door and Jesus was like BAM…pillar of salt!

Haha. I wrote that jokingly but those were the facts in the Bible. Do you even know what it means when Jesus closes a door for you? It literally means that Jesus finds you SO WORTHY that he doesn’t want you to waste your time, energy, and efforts on something that cannot be attached to your value. Your net worth to him is too great. So to protect you, he shields you from some things. Can I get an amen for closed doors?! Know that you are too worthy to double-back and go with your ex. Keep pressing forward love knowing that great things lie ahead.

KnowYourWorthChallenge: Read the story of Lot’s wife in Genesis 19.
